Whether you are training for a marathon, in a heavy gym block, or trying to push past a plateau, hard training draws down fluid, electrolytes, and the nutrients your muscles use. The Performance Drip is our fullest athletic recipe: a liter of fluids and electrolytes with vitamin C, magnesium, B-complex, B12, and four amino acids used in muscle contraction, blood flow, muscle repair, and energy metabolism. Book it before a major event, during an intense training block, or the day after a race. We have not measured a performance outcome and do not promise one.

I got an IV infusion from A&M IV Co. and it was such a great experience. The Nurse Practitioner came right to my home and was super professional the whole time. I felt so much better within an hour. I had more energy and overall refreshed. The booking process was easy and they were right on time. Definitely recommending to everyone I know!

What is the best IV drip for athletes and recovery after a race in Nashville?

For a race, a tournament or a heavy training block, the Performance Drip at A&M IV Co. is the fullest athletic recipe on our menu at $299: one liter of IV fluid with electrolytes to replace what sweat takes, vitamin C, magnesium, vitamin B-complex and B12, plus four amino acids. Taurine supports muscle contraction and helps regulate water and mineral levels in the blood; arginine is an amino acid the body uses to make nitric oxide, a signal that widens blood vessels; glutamine is used in muscle repair and immune function; carnitine helps the body convert fatty acids into usable energy. Those are physiological roles; we have not measured race times or soreness scores and do not promise a performance outcome. If you only need fluids, the Hydration Drip at $139 is the same liter without the extras. It is for runners the day after a half or full marathon, weekend-league athletes between games, and gym regulars who want the amino acid and electrolyte recipe by IV. A Nurse Practitioner reviews the intake, a licensed nurse comes to your home or hotel in the Nashville area, and the infusion runs about 60 minutes.

How much does a recovery IV for athletes cost in Nashville?

At A&M IV Co. the Performance Drip is $299 flat, our most complete recipe at ten ingredients: IV fluid, electrolytes, vitamin C, magnesium, vitamin B-complex, vitamin B12, taurine, arginine, glutamine and carnitine, delivered by a licensed nurse to your home or hotel in the Nashville area after a Nurse Practitioner reviews your intake, with the infusion running about 60 minutes. Travel is included across most of our service area. If your address is farther out, the exact amount is shown before you pay. If your reason is general tiredness rather than training, the Recovery & Energy Booster Drip at $259 or the Myers' Cocktail at $239 is the closer match, and plain rehydration after a long run is the Hydration Drip at $139. If the nurse declines the visit on arrival for safety, the drip is not charged and a $50 travel and assessment fee is retained. It is for the athlete who wants the full amino acid bag; the price is the ingredient count, not a promise about the next race. Book online at amivco.com or text (615) 592-6529.

Should I get an IV before or after a marathon?

After, in most cases. A liter of fluid in a well-hydrated person is passed within hours, so the case for an IV before a race is weaker than the case for one the day after, when the point is to replace fluid and electrolytes lost in sweat; if you do book before, do it a day or two out so you are not running with a fresh needle site. The Performance Drip at A&M IV Co. in Nashville is $299 and contains IV fluid, electrolytes, vitamin C, magnesium, vitamin B-complex, vitamin B12, taurine, arginine, glutamine and carnitine. Under the current World Anti-Doping Agency Prohibited List, IV infusions over 100mL in a 12-hour period are prohibited for tested athletes unless received in hospital treatment, surgery or a clinical diagnostic investigation; check your federation's rules. It fits the runner who wants the recovery recipe on race weekend. An IV is elective wellness care and not a substitute for emergency care: chest pain or fainting during or after exertion, dark urine with muscle pain, a very high body temperature, confusion, or a heart rate that will not settle means the emergency room, and confusion, vomiting or a headache after drinking large amounts of water during a race can be low sodium, which looks like dehydration and is treated the opposite way.

Ingredient glossary

What's flowing in, and why.

Tap any component below to read what it does. Your provider confirms fit before treatment.

  1. 01 / 09

    IV fluid

The base fluid that carries every other ingredient straight into the bloodstream. Typically an isotonic crystalloid like Normal Saline or Lactated Ringer's, matched to your physiology so it absorbs without diluting the body's own chemistry. IV delivery bypasses the stomach entirely, so the fluid is in circulation as the bag runs rather than after the hour or two an oral drink takes to absorb.

  2. 02 / 09Vitamin

    Vitamin C

A co-factor your body uses to form collagen, and an antioxidant that protects healthy cells, including skin cells, against oxidative damage such as damage from ultraviolet light.

  3. 03 / 09Electrolyte

    Magnesium

A mineral your muscles and nerves use to relax and signal, and one used in a wide range of enzyme reactions. It supports normal nerve and muscle function, which is one reason it has been studied in migraine; that role does not establish how well a particular IV works.

  4. 04 / 09Vitamin

    Vitamin B-Complex

A group of B vitamins that supports cellular energy production, nervous-system function, and healthy red blood cell formation. It is included in drips booked for fatigue and recovery.

  5. 05 / 09Vitamin

    Vitamin B12

A single B vitamin commonly used to support energy, mood, and neurological function. It is often included when fatigue, brain fog, or low energy are part of the reason for treatment.

  6. 06 / 09Amino Acid

    Taurine

An amino acid that supports muscle contraction and delays muscle fatigue. It also helps regulate water and mineral levels in the blood.

  7. 07 / 09Amino Acid

    Arginine

An amino acid that converts into nitric oxide in the body, which widens blood vessels (vasodilation). This improves blood flow and oxygen delivery to working muscles.

  8. 08 / 09Amino Acid

    Glutamine

An amino acid crucial for muscle repair and immune system health. Intense physical stress depletes glutamine; replenishing it speeds up recovery and reduces muscle breakdown.

  9. 09 / 09Amino Acid

    Carnitine

An amino acid derivative that helps the body convert fatty acids into usable energy. It is widely used to improve endurance and reduce muscle soreness after exercise.

Questions

The Performance Drip, clearly answered.

What is in the Performance Drip?
The Performance Drip contains IV fluid, Electrolytes, Vitamin C, Magnesium, Vitamin B-Complex, Vitamin B12, Taurine, Arginine, Glutamine, and Carnitine. Nothing else goes in the bag unless you choose an add-on at checkout.
Should I get the Performance Drip before or after a race?
Either, and clients do both. Before, the point is to start hydrated with electrolytes and the amino acids on board; after, it is to replace fluid and electrolytes lost in sweat and deliver the amino acids used in muscle repair. If you do it before, book it a day or two out rather than the morning of, so you are not running with a fresh line site. For a marathon, the day after is the most common booking.
What do the amino acids in the Performance Drip do?
Four of them, each with a defined role: taurine supports muscle contraction and helps regulate water and mineral levels in the blood; arginine converts to nitric oxide, which widens blood vessels and improves blood flow to working muscle; glutamine is used in muscle repair and immune function and is depleted by intense physical stress; carnitine helps the body convert fatty acids into usable energy. Those are physiological roles. We have not measured race times or soreness scores and we do not claim a performance outcome.
Is the Performance Drip allowed under anti-doping rules?
Nothing in the recipe is a banned substance, but the World Anti-Doping Agency prohibits IV infusions over 100mL in a 12-hour period for tested athletes outside a hospital setting, regardless of what is in the bag. If you are subject to testing, check your federation's rules before booking any IV. That applies to every drip on our menu, not just this one.
How much does the Performance Drip cost?
$299 flat. That covers the visit, setup, and every listed ingredient. Travel is included across most of our service area. If your address is farther out, the exact amount is shown before you pay. Add-ons are priced separately and shown before you pay. There is no membership and nothing renews.
How long does the Performance Drip take?
The infusion runs about 60 minutes. Plan on the nurse being at your address for that long, plus a few minutes to set up and pack out.
Can I add anything to the Performance Drip?
Yes. At checkout you can add Extra IV fluids 500mL ($50) and Glutathione ($20). The clinician reviews every add-on for fit at the visit.
Who should not get the Performance Drip?
Our IV visits are for adults 18 and older, with no exceptions. Every visit starts with a clinical intake covering your health history, allergies, and medications, and your provider repeats a brief assessment on arrival. Pregnancy requires your OB provider's sign-off. Heart, kidney, and fluid-restriction conditions are reviewed individually, and fluid volume is limited for clients 60 and older. If the provider cannot clear you on the day, the drip is not charged and a $50 travel and assessment fee is retained.
How do I book the Performance Drip?
Book online at https://www.amivco.com/book?service=performance-drip: enter your address, pick a time, and pay by card. Same-day visits are available when a slot is open; if the calendar shows no slot, you can send a request and we text you back. You can also call or text (615) 592-6529.
Who administers the Performance Drip?
A licensed nurse administers every drip, and the practice is owned and led by a Nurse Practitioner. A mobile IV is not a substitute for emergency care: for chest pain, trouble breathing, confusion, or a severe reaction, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
